AKIMBO 2

The Akimbo is a unique rope control device for tree care, which can be adapted to different rope diameters – without any tools or assembly. It enables the tree climber to ascend, descend and position himself on both stationary and moving rope systems. The rope contact surfaces are adjustable: this allows friction to be increased or reduced if conditions change during climbing. Additionally, the Akimbo adapts to the natural wear and tear of the contact surfaces. This increases the service life. The extremely compact device can be easily opened to quickly remove or install the rope in the middle.
